Choosing a broadhead for Australian game
Pigs are the toughest test a broadhead faces in this country. Thick hide, fighting pads on big boars, and heavy bone if the shot goes forward. Match the weight to your arrow. Your broadhead weight (commonly 125–150 grains) is part of your arrow's spine and balance equation, changing it changes your tune. Practise with field points of the same weight (Nexxus field points, 12pk, $29.90) so your hunting arrow flies exactly like your practice arrow.
